We are delighted to announce the opening of Little Saints wrap around care club! This is based at the school five mornings and five evenings a week. With film nights, den building, arts, crafts and sporting activities to do its lots of fun!
Little Saints was established by the school in order to serve the school and wider community in providing wrap around care for the hours outside of school. By managing our own breakfast and after school club on site we can offer the very best of care during these hours in our already safe, caring, and stimulating environment, with the very best experienced and friendly staff.
Charlotte McAteer was already employed by the school as Playworker, with Kirsty also employed as our Lunchtime Supervisor. They consequently have our three school core values at the forefront of everything they do! They are committed to teaching the children new skills and games during their time in the club as well as providing lots of fun with relaxation time if needed. Card games such as snap, memory games, 21, board games and dominoes are proving very popular! The children also enjoy film nights, pamper nights, den building, dressing up, role play, crafts and football.
Craft Club is run on a Monday with lots of exciting themes including Bonfire Night, Easter and Christmas Craft nights planned for this term.
Tuesday night is computer night or gardening club in the summer. Purple Mash & TT Rockstars are played in teams! It’s great fun and competitive, and helps with timestables!
Beans and potatoes and hanging baskets have been just a few of the things the children have grown this term in gardening club.
Lego Club is run on a Wednesday evening until 4:15pm or 5:15pm.
Thursday is board games or gardening club. Snakes and ladders is a huge favourite along with draughts and jigsaws if the weather is bad, if it’s fine some gardening club, rock painting, weeding and sowing are much enjoyed by everyone in gardening club!
Friday is cookery night with decorated biscuits to take home and rice crispie cakes to try!
Gardening Club
Tuesday & Thursdays 3:15- 5:15pm.
Gardening club have had a wonderful few weeks making hanging baskets and hanging them around school! They have brightened the areas up outside and look fabulous! Well done gardening club! We can’t wait to taste the beans and potatoes!
Little Saints is a Healthy Club and offers healthy snacks for supper at 4:00pm. These are detailed here. We also promote outside play and learning and Little Saints has full access to all of St Augustine’s outdoor facilities.
