School meals are provided at St Augustine’s by Dolce Catering. All of the children eat together in our spacious school hall. The menus are updated regularly, and include a wide range of balanced, healthy hot meals as well as the option of a jacket potato or sandwich if preferred. An example menu is included below.
Meals for all children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 are free of charge under the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme. Meals for children in Nursery and Class 3 are currently £3.50 per day (unless your child is entitled to Free School Meals).
Dolce use a system called ‘SchoolGrid’, through which parents can book their child’s preferred meal as well as keeping allergens and dietary requirements updated. Information on Dolce and SchoolGrid can be found below.

Eligibility criteria have recently expanded, and so it is always worth checking and applying. Each child eligible for free school meals affects the amount of funding the school receives, and if your child meets certain criteria they will also receive pupil premium funding, which is used to support them in school. SUAT supports and leads in the set-up of new academies joining the partnership. The services provided by the central support function cover both educational and non-educational support. In terms of educational support, SUAT is linked to the School of Education of Staffordshire University, which is an outstanding ITT provider.
