Welcome to St. Augustine’s CE Academy, a first school and nursery for pupils between three and nine years of age. Located in the beautiful village of Draycott in the Clay, we provide a caring and supportive environment in which your child can achieve, grow and thrive. Through our broad and balanced curriculum and our ‘50 Things to Do Before You’re 9’ programme, we seek to develop independent, happy children with a love of learning who have the attitude, knowledge and skills to enable them to fulfil their potential, both here and in later life.
Close co-operation between home and school is a priority for us and we seek to develop strong relationships with our families. We are always available to discuss with you any aspects of your child’s development at a mutually convenient time. Visits from prospective families are also warmly welcomed throughout the year.

At St Augustine’s CE Academy we work closely with our colleagues at All Saints CE Academy Denstone, St Peter’s CE Academy Alton and Horton St Michael’s First School and Nursery, sharing Executive Leadership and the Local Academy Council. Our vision as The Saints Academies builds on our Christian foundations. We celebrate the individuality and uniqueness of everyone within The Saints and wider communities, living God’s love through our chosen Christian Values. We strive for every child to be resilient, adaptable and to flourish in a rapidly changing world through the delivery of an inspiring, holistic and innovative approach to teaching and learning. SUAT supports and leads in the set-up of new academies joining the partnership. The services provided by the central support function cover both educational and non-educational support. In terms of educational support, SUAT is linked to the School of Education of Staffordshire University, which is an outstanding ITT provider.
