Lockdown learning

Wednesday 19th May

We would like to introduce this amazing book and resources, written by our fabulous KS1 science teacher Miss Langford.

“In addition to teaching at our wonderful schools I am also lucky enough to work for the Galapagos Conservation Trust as their Education Writer. They are the only UK charity whose work focuses solely on the conservation of the Galapagos Archipelago. Having visited the islands I have been able to watch with awe and wonder the amazing wildlife that inhabits them. The book I am sharing with you is about one of those animals – the scalloped hammerhead shark. I wrote it, with lots of help from scientists to get the facts correct, proof readers to find any mistakes, and an amazing designer who made me fall in love with the characters. I would love to share the story of Marti the hammerhead shark with you, and hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing.”
