NSPCC Number Day & World Maths Day 2022
Class 3
Class 3 have had a fun-filled day with Number and Maths! Our usual Friday mornings usually involve the children responding to their maths marking and next steps (reasoning and problem-solving questions) and today we also took part in a class board game, provided by the NSPCC to celebrate this special day. The children needed to put their maths skills to the test and answer the questions they landed on. The three ‘Zones’ were: number bonds, part-whole models and missing number challenges. Not only were the children competing to be the first to reach Rusty The Robot, they had to make sure their calculations and working out were top-notch!
In Class 1, we had a fun time dressing up for NSPCC Number Day. During the morning, we completed one of Buddy’s challenges. We had to answer lots of tricky questions and find some puzzle pieces which formed a special key for his rocket. Our teachers timed us when we were searching for the missing pieces. When all the pieces were found, Buddy was able to set off on his mission to space! We said goodbye to Buddy and watched him set of in his rocket adventure! Bye Buddy!!!
