Early Years Fabulous Work
We have had such a busy and fun first half term! The topic question ‘Who am I and where am I from?’ led us to so many exciting learning opportunities; from role-playing in St. Augustine’s A&E to giving Mrs Gilmour and Mrs McAteer a make-over in the hairdressers! We have measured each other using blocks and bricks and labelled different parts of the body! We have also been practising our numbers, counting and exploring shapes and measurement.
Everyone has been working so hard and we really enjoyed learning our Harvest poem and song! Remember you can see these on our school website!
Class 1 even had a visit from the Tiger (from the story ‘The Tiger who came to tea’). He stole all of our yummy cakes, biscuits and sandwiches. Class 1 became a crime scene! Luckily, because of our super writing (a crime report) we got some of the cakes and biscuits back to eat!
We made our own spells, writing a list of what we need before making them in a cauldron. Some of our spells made some very magical things happen!!!
We can’t wait for another amazing half term, full of wonderful learning!
