This website is designed to tell you more about the life and work of St.Augustine’s CE Academy, which is an academy for pupils between three and nine years of age. The school serves the village of Draycott-in-the-Clay and its surrounding area but children from other districts are warmly welcomed.

We aim to provide a caring and supportive environment in which your child can achieve in a wide range of areas. We provide a broad and balanced timetable as prescribed by the Early Years and National Curriculum and the addition of our ‘50 things to do before you’re 9’ programme, which we are very proud of. We also seek to develop independent, self disciplined, happy children with a love of learning who have acquired all the attitudes, knowledge and skills to enable them to fulfil their potential both here and in later life. We believe strongly in holistic education where spiritual growth is valued and promoted and we aim to develop pupils’ resilience so they can face the challenges in our ever changing world. Our Christian values of Love, Hope and Friendship were chosen by the pupils and they are passionate about these being lived and seen each day.

Close co-operation between home and school is a priority for us and we seek to develop strong relationships with our parents. We are always available to discuss with you any aspects of your child’s development at a mutually convenient time.

We confidently expect the years at St. Augustine’s to be a happy and successful time in your child’s life and to provide a firm foundation on which to base future achievement.

Yours sincerely,

Rebecca Walker
